Community-based learning (CBL) is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community engagement with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience with a greater emphasis on reciprocal learning and reflection. It's about learning by doing and by experiencing things firsthand. For example, instead of just reading about a technology, you are exposed to what it does in real world by community partners who work in these industries.
It is a 4 months intensive program. You will be provided with a curriculum and guidance during the learning process. After the 4 months of learning, upon graduation you will remain in the community. The community members get exposed to job and internship opportunities.
We run cohorts twice a year and our first cohort begins in January. The second cohort begins in July. We encourage you to apply sooner rather than later because many big tech companies are easier to get into when you are younger. If you don't get in now, it'll increase your chances of getting in next time - we will notice your commitment.
